About The Owners
Darrell and Kim Swanson welcome you to Off The Chain K9 Academy LLC where dogs are trained and people are educated. Both Darrell and Kim have served over 20 years in the military. They take pride in their commitment to their customers knowing that dogs aren't just pets but part of the family.
Darrell's love for dogs and Kim’s love for dogs brought them to Jo-Thor's Dog Trainers Academy with the Post 9-11 GI Bill. They studied for four years and achieved Professional, Advanced and Advanced Master Dog Educator/Trainer Certifications.
During those six years, they partnered in a dog training, boarding, and dog daycare business located in Kennesaw, Georgia and named it Off The Chain K9 Academy. Since opening, Darrell and Kim have trained and boarded hundreds of dogs at their Kennesaw and Canton locations. Some dogs with severe behavior problems and others with the calm personality to become a service or therapy dog to a Veteran or Civilian with PTSD.
