Worry-Free Dog Boarding in Georgia
Safe Stays and Structured Care for Your Peace of Mind
A Better Alternative to Traditional Dog Boarding
Many dog owners hesitate to board their dog because they’ve heard horror stories — overcrowded kennels, minimal supervision, stressed dogs, or unsafe group environments. Traditional boarding often prioritizes volume, not care.
OTCK9 Academy offers a different standard of dog boarding in Georgia.

- Worry about safety and supervision overnight
- Fear of dogs being ignored, stressed, or confined too long
- Concerns about dog fights or uncontrolled group play

Dogs That Thrive in Our Boarding Program
- Puppies and adult dogs
- Family pets and companion dogs
- Dogs already in training or daycare
- Dogs who benefit from structure and routine
- Owners who want professional-level care, not just a kennel

90-Day Temperament Test Policy
Below are the reasons this policy is important:
- Dogs’ behavior can change over time due to age, environment, training consistency, or life events. A dog who was previously confident or social may become more anxious or reactive after time away.
- When a dog hasn’t visited in 90 days, they may no longer be familiar with our staff, routines, or facility. A re‑evaluation helps us reintroduce them safely and comfortably.
- Boarding and our dayschool services involve close contact with other dogs and a stimulating environment. A current temperament assessment ensures your dog can safely participate and helps us determine the appropriate level of supervision.
- The evaluation allows us to update your dog’s care profile, including play style, stress triggers, handling preferences, and any new medical or behavioral notes.
- A brief reintroduction session reduces stress for your dog and helps them settle in more easily during their stay.
- If for any reason your dog does not “pass” this evaluation, rest assured we are still here to help them get back on track. We will set up a private lesson with our trainer to assist in discussing further steps, so that you and your precious pup can feel confident and comfortable for their next stay with us!
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to provide the highest standard of care. Please let us know if you’d like to schedule a temperament test or have any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Boarding in Georgia
Is my dog supervised overnight while boarding?
Yes. Your dog is cared for in a structured, professionally managed environment. While dogs have designated rest periods overnight, our team follows established supervision protocols and safety checks to ensure every dog is secure, comfortable, and properly cared for throughout their stay. Our focus is on calm routines, not chaotic kennel environments.
How is OTCK9 Academy different from traditional boarding kennels?
Most boarding kennels focus on housing dogs. Our dog boarding in Georgia focuses on care, structure, and safety. We are a certified, veteran-owned training academy, not a high-volume kennel. Our staff understands dog behavior, enforces structured routines, and prioritizes calm, controlled environments—especially important for overnight stays.
Does my dog need to be trained before boarding?
No prior training is required. However, all dogs must complete a boarding evaluation before their stay. This ensures your dog is comfortable with our routines and allows us to maintain a safe, low-stress environment for every dog in our care. Many dogs actually benefit behaviorally from the structure provided during boarding.
Will my dog interact with other dogs during boarding?
This depends on your dog’s temperament, behavior, and evaluation results. Some dogs enjoy structured social time, while others are more comfortable with individual routines. We never force interactions. All activity is intentional, supervised, and based on what’s safest and least stressful for your dog.
What should I bring for my dog’s boarding stay?
We keep things simple. Typically, you’ll need to bring:
- Your dog on a leash
- Proof of required vaccinations
Food and medications should be discussed during your boarding evaluation so we can accommodate your dog’s specific needs. Our goal is consistency, comfort, and safety.
How long can my dog stay for boarding?
We offer both short-term overnight boarding and extended stays. Many dogs settle in quickly due to structured routines, and longer stays often help dogs relax even more. Our team can help determine the best boarding option during your evaluation based on your travel schedule and your dog’s needs.
How do I get started with dog boarding at OTCK9 Academy?
The first step is scheduling a boarding evaluation. This allows us to ensure boarding is the right fit for your dog and gives you confidence knowing exactly how your dog will be cared for while you’re away.
