Doggy Day School in Woodstock, GA
Keep The Progress Going — One Paw At A Time
Doggy Day School isn’t Daycare. It’s where our Dog Board and Train results are maintained and strengthened through daily structure, guided reinforcement, and real-world practice.
Structured Learning That Creates Calm, Focused, and Confident Dogs
Doggy Day School goes beyond traditional daycare by offering a structured environment focused on growth, skill development, and clear daily expectations. Instead of unstructured play, your dog follows a thoughtfully planned schedule that includes intentional training, supervised socialization, enrichment activities, and guided rest — all designed to build obedience, confidence, and lasting success at home and in public.
This program is ideal for:
- Dogs with too much energy
- Dogs that need obedience reinforcement
- Dogs that struggle with impulse control
- Dogs working toward advanced training goals
- Owners who want progress without full board and train
During Day School, your dog may participate in:
- One-on-one obedience sessions
- Structured leash work
- Impulse control drills
- Slatmill conditioning (when appropriate)
- Confidence-building exercises
- Field trips for real-world exposure
- Behavioral development sessions
- Place training and structured rest
This is guided, hands-on work with a trainer — not group play.
Your dog comes home mentally fulfilled, structured, and progressing.
Why We Created Doggy Day School
Many dogs are not good candidates for doggy daycare.
Some are:
- Overstimulated in group play
- Too dominant or too timid
- Reactive
- Easily distracted
- In need of focused leadership
Instead of turning those dogs away, our team created Day School—a productive alternative that helps them grow.
This is where structure replaces chaos.
This is where progress happens.

90-Day Temperament Test Policy
Below are the reasons this policy is important:
- Dogs’ behavior can change over time due to age, environment, training consistency, or life events. A dog who was previously confident or social may become more anxious or reactive after time away.
- When a dog hasn’t visited in 90 days, they may no longer be familiar with our staff, routines, or facility. A re‑evaluation helps us reintroduce them safely and comfortably.
- Boarding and our dayschool services involve close contact with other dogs and a stimulating environment. A current temperament assessment ensures your dog can safely participate and helps us determine the appropriate level of supervision.
- The evaluation allows us to update your dog’s care profile, including play style, stress triggers, handling preferences, and any new medical or behavioral notes.
- A brief reintroduction session reduces stress for your dog and helps them settle in more easily during their stay.
- If for any reason your dog does not “pass” this evaluation, rest assured we are still here to help them get back on track. We will set up a private lesson with our trainer to assist in discussing further steps, so that you and your precious pup can feel confident and comfortable for their next stay with us!
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to provide the highest standard of care. Please let us know if you’d like to schedule a temperament test or have any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Daycare in Georgia
What makes OTCK9 Academy different from other dog daycare facilities in Georgia?
Unlike many facilities that focus on free-for-all play, OTCK9 Academy provides structured, professionally supervised dog daycare in Georgia. Our daycare is overseen by certified trainers who manage group dynamics, energy levels, and behavior throughout the day. This prevents overstimulation, reinforces good habits, and creates a safer, calmer experience for every dog.
Does my dog need to be trained before attending daycare?
No prior training is required, but all dogs must complete a daycare evaluation before enrolling. This ensures your dog is comfortable in a group setting and can safely participate. Many dogs actually improve their social skills and behavior through our structured dog daycare in Georgia, especially when combined with training add-ons.
How do you group dogs during daycare?
Dogs are grouped based on size, energy level, temperament, and play style—not just breed or age. This allows us to maintain safe, positive interactions and avoid stress or conflict. Grouping is continuously monitored and adjusted throughout the day as needed, which is a key reason many owners choose OTCK9 for dog daycare in Georgia.
What should I bring for my dog’s daycare visit?
For most dogs, you only need to bring:
- Your dog on a leash
- Proof of required vaccinations
Food is not typically needed for daycare unless your dog has specific medical or dietary needs. Our team will review all requirements with you during your daycare evaluation.
